Saudi foreign minister holds call with U.S. Secretary of State, speaks with regional counterparts on developments

Riyadh, Jan 20, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a series of telephone calls with counterparts from the United States, Türkiye, Pakistan, Jordan and Oman to discuss regional developments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Prince Faisal spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with the two officials reviewing the latest developments in the region and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
He also held separate calls with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi. The discussions touched on regional issues, current developments and joint diplomatic efforts.
