Washington, October 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is scheduled to meet U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on November 18, in what will mark his first visit to Washington during the president’s second term, according to sources cited by CBS News.
The meeting comes as Saudi Arabia seeks to finalize a defense cooperation pact with the United States, aimed at strengthening bilateral security ties and expanding strategic coordination.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, often referred to by his initials MBS, last visited the White House over seven years ago, though the two leaders met earlier this year in May during the president’s four-day Middle East tour, which focused on economic partnerships, the Israel-Gaza conflict, and Iran’s nuclear program.
Sources familiar with the discussions said the November meeting is expected to cover agreements reached during the May visit, as well as defense collaboration and intelligence sharing between the two nations.
Officials are also preparing for a potential signing event during the visit, though the details remain under discussion, according to two sources.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration signed a defense pact with Qatar, pledging to treat any attack on the Gulf state as a threat to U.S. security. Saudi Arabia is reportedly pursuing a similar defense agreement as part of its strategic alignment with Washington.
President Trump has previously expressed high regard for Crown Prince Mohammed, describing him as “wise beyond his years.” Saudi Arabia was the first foreign country visited by Trump after taking office in 2017, and the Crown Prince was the first foreign leader he called in January 2025 following his reelection.
During their May meeting in Riyadh, President Trump referred to the U.S.-Saudi relationship as “a bedrock of security and prosperity.”
