Saudi, Canadian Ministers Discuss Gulf Tensions

JEDDAH, July 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Jeddah to review bilateral relations and discuss ways to expand cooperation and partnership between Saudi Arabia and Canada.
The two ministers discussed regional developments, including Iranian violations targeting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and attacks on several countries in the region.
They condemned the attacks and stressed the need to de-escalate tensions.
Prince Faisal and Anand also called for a return to negotiations and for dialogue to be prioritised in support of a comprehensive agreement.
The talks focused on efforts to consolidate regional and international peace and security.
