Saudi Arabia welcomes Syria ceasefire agreement, integration of SDF

Riyadh, Jan 20, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia welcomed a ceasefire agreement and the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces, including their civilian and military institutions, within the Syrian state, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The ministry also commended the efforts of the United States in reaching the agreement and said it hoped the move would help reinforce security and stability, support the building of state institutions and ensure the application of the law to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people for development and prosperity.

Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its full support for the efforts of the Syrian government to promote civil peace and preserve Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
