RIYADH, May 19 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior said visit visas of all types and categories do not authorize holders to perform Hajj, the Saudi Press Agency reported.


The ministry stressed that an official Hajj permit is mandatory to perform the ritual.


It urged the public to comply with regulations for the 1447 AH Hajj season and cooperate with authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.


The ministry warned that violations will lead to legal penalties.


It also called on the public to report violators by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Region, and 999 in the rest of the kingdom.
