Riyadh, October 26, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said on Sunday that 85% of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives have been completed or are on track, underscoring the country’s ongoing economic and social transformation.
“We’ve made remarkable progress transforming our economy and society,” Al-Falih said during the Fortune Global Forum held in Riyadh. “As of the end of 2024, 85% of our initiatives were completed or on track, with most targets met or exceeded.”
Providing a rare progress update ahead of the annual Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, set to open on Tuesday, Al-Falih did not specify which individual targets had been achieved but highlighted that 675 companies have now established regional headquarters in Riyadh. The relocation initiative forms a key part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to position its capital as a regional business hub.
The minister acknowledged that the multi-trillion-dollar Vision 2030 program continues to face challenges and adjustments amid global economic headwinds and logistical constraints.
Launched in 2016 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Vision 2030 aims to diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy away from oil, modernize its society, and establish the Kingdom as a global center for investment and tourism.
Flagship projects such as NEOM, the Kingdom’s planned futuristic city on the Red Sea, have experienced implementation delays. Sources told Reuters that elements of the project have been scaled back as authorities prioritize key infrastructure works supporting major international events, including preparations for hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
