New York, September 28 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah delivered Saudi Arabia’s address at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to international law, peace, and humanitarian aid.

Prince Faisal said Saudi Arabia, as a founding member of the United Nations, spares no effort in translating the principles of the UN Charter into tangible reality by consolidating respect for international law and strengthening international peace and security. He noted that Saudi Arabia’s aid has exceeded $141 billion, benefiting 74 countries worldwide.

The foreign minister reiterated the Kingdom’s firm position on the Palestinian cause, stressing the need for a just and lasting solution within the framework of international law. He warned that the failure to halt Israeli attacks and violations would destabilize regional and global security.

Prince Faisal highlighted Saudi Arabia’s recent initiatives, including the launch of the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution with Norway and the European Union, and the co-chairing of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine with France. He praised countries that have recognized the Palestinian state and expressed support for reforms led by the Palestinian National Authority.

On regional issues, Prince Faisal underscored Saudi Arabia’s commitment to non-proliferation, maritime security in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, and the fight against terrorism. He called for international regulation of military applications of artificial intelligence and autonomous weapons.

He welcomed steps taken by Syria to strengthen security, reiterated support for restoring stability in Yemen, and emphasized Saudi Arabia’s role as the largest donor to the Yemeni economy. He also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to the unity of Sudan through dialogue on the Jeddah platform, to a Libyan-led solution in Libya, and to Lebanon’s sovereignty through the implementation of the Taif Agreement.

Concluding his speech, Prince Faisal highlighted Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 achievements, including youth and women’s empowerment, tolerance, international cooperation, and economic reforms. He underlined the Kingdom’s climate initiatives, such as the Saudi Green and Middle East Green Initiatives, and the establishment of the Global Water Organization in Riyadh, affirming the Kingdom’s commitment to sustainable development and climate protection.
