Saudi Arabia Places in Top 10 on Three IMD Business Indicators
RIYADH, September 24, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia ranked among the top 10 economies on three business indicators in the 2026 IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook, according to the Saudi Ministry of Commerce.
The Kingdom placed third for legislative support for creating firms, fourth for equal economic opportunity and seventh for the efficiency of large corporations. Compared with the previous edition, those rankings rose by one, three and two places, respectively.
Saudi Arabia ranked 13th overall among 70 economies and third among G20 members, behind the United States and China.
The Commerce Ministry said 110 laws and regulations had been reviewed and developed. It cited measures covering companies, commercial registration, trade names, franchising and e-commerce among the areas addressed.
