Riyadh, September 15, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia launched the second phase of the global Messengers of Peace initiative at the Ministry of Education headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday, with new projects aimed at advancing peace and sustainable development through youth engagement.

Minister of Education and President of the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association Yousef Al-Benyan and Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie, a board member of the World Scout Foundation, attended the ceremony alongside princes, ministers, international scout leaders, and experts.

In his opening remarks, Al-Benyan welcomed Prince Guillaume and affirmed that Saudi Arabia, with the continued support of its leadership, remains a key partner in promoting peace and sustainable development. He stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to building a safer and more humane world for future generations.

Prince Guillaume highlighted the alignment between the initiative and Saudi Vision 2030’s focus on youth empowerment, saying scouting fosters volunteerism, equips young people with life skills, and strengthens community service. He thanked Saudi Arabia for its financial contributions, noting that the initiative’s first phase supported over one million scout groups, 16 million projects, and 32 million volunteers worldwide, bringing the total number of Scouts to 60 million.

He added that the second phase aims to inspire youth and support them in realizing their aspirations in a more peaceful and inclusive world.
