Saudi Arabia intercepts ballistic missiles and drones targeting Eastern Province and Shaybah oil field Thursday Evening

Riyadh, March 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s air defenses intercepted and destroyed ballistic missiles and multiple drones targeting several locations across the Kingdom on Thursday evening, the Ministry of Defense said.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said a ballistic missile launched toward the Eastern Province was intercepted and destroyed.
Another ballistic missile targeting Prince Sultan Air Base was also intercepted, according to the statement.
Air defenses additionally destroyed several drones launched toward the Shaybah oil field in the Empty Quarter, including one drone intercepted earlier in the evening and seven more in the same area shortly afterward.
Further interceptions were reported in the Eastern Province, where air defenses destroyed three drones and later intercepted three additional drones targeting the same region.
Later in the evening, another drone heading toward the Shaybah oil field was intercepted and destroyed in the Empty Quarter.
Air defenses subsequently intercepted and destroyed four more drones targeting the Eastern Province.
The interceptions were confirmed in statements issued by Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson of the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
