Saudi Arabia intercepts and destroys 7 drones in Eastern Province, defence ministry says

RIYADH, March 17, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said on Tuesday that seven drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Province over the past hours.
Major General Turki Al-Maliki, official spokesperson for the ministry, said the aerial threats were neutralised during recent operations in the region.
