Saudi air defenses intercept two drones heading toward Shaybah oil field

RIYADH, March 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed two drones over the Empty Quarter desert that were heading toward the Shaybah oil field, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said on Monday.
Turki Al-Maliki, spokesman for the ministry, said the drones were intercepted and destroyed in separate incidents in the Empty Quarter as they were heading toward the Shaybah oil field.
The interceptions occurred within minutes of each other, according to the ministry’s statements.
No further details were immediately released.
