Saudi air defenses intercept 20 drones entering Kingdom’s airspace

Riyadh, March 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed 20 drones that entered the Kingdom’s airspace early Friday, the Ministry of Defense said.


Defense Ministry spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said air defenses intercepted and destroyed 12 drones after they entered Saudi airspace.


In a separate statement shortly afterward, the ministry said air defenses intercepted and destroyed another seven drones that had entered the Kingdom’s airspace.


Air defenses also intercepted and destroyed an additional drone in the Eastern Province, according to the statement.


The interceptions were confirmed in statements issued by Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson of the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
