Saudi Agricultural Development Fund signs MoU with Tharawat Al-Bihar Saudi Fish Company at Riyadh fisheries expo

Riyadh, Jan 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi Agricultural Development Fund signed a memorandum of understanding with Tharawat Al-Bihar Saudi Fish Company to strengthen cooperation in training and investment opportunities across the agricultural and food sectors, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The MoU was signed under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti on the sidelines of the International Fisheries Exhibition being held in Riyadh.
The agreement was signed by Adel bin Abdullah Al-Jumah, the fund’s Chief Strategy Executive, and Jaber bin Mohammed Al-Suhaili, Chief Executive of Tharawat Al-Bihar Saudi Fish Company.
The cooperation areas include investment opportunities in the food sector and expanding the use of fund programmes available to investors and farmers in support of food security objectives. The MoU also covers practical training and on-the-job training, as well as short-term training in hatcheries for larvae production, fish farming in floating cages, and fresh fish processing and packaging.
The MoU also includes technical and economic consultations in the agricultural field and engagement with financing channels offered by the fund, including contract farming.
The fund framed the agreement as part of its broader development and financing role in supporting the Kingdom’s agricultural sector and advancing comprehensive agricultural development.
