Paris, Sept 23, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Russia said on Monday it continues to view the two-state solution as the only viable path to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, after several Western countries formally recognized a Palestinian state.

Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal announced recognition of Palestine on Sunday, citing frustration over the ongoing Gaza war and the need to promote a political settlement. Israel condemned the decision.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia remains committed to the fundamental resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and to the international consensus on the two-state approach.

“This remains our approach, and we believe that it is the only possible way to find a solution to this extremely complex, long-standing conflict, which is now perhaps at its most acute and tragic stage in its entire history,” Peskov said.
