Washington, March 5, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Marco Rubio spoke with Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on Wednesday and discussed threats from Iran to regional stability and other developments in the region, the U.S. State Department said.

State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said Rubio expressed gratitude to the Saudi foreign minister for Saudi Arabia’s response to what he described as an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh.

The two also discussed what the State Department described as continued threats the Iranian regime poses to regional stability, Pigott said.
