Rosatom warns against strikes on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear plant

RIYADH, March 19 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - The head of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom urged the United States and Israel to avoid strikes on Iran’s Russia-built Bushehr nuclear power plant.
Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev warned that “not a single party to the conflict will escape the impact of radiation if there is a serious accident.”
Likhachev said a strike earlier this week hit near the operating reactor but caused no injuries or damage.
He added that Rosatom had evacuated some personnel from Bushehr and plans to withdraw most of the remaining 480 staff, leaving only a limited team to continue plant operations.
