Riyadh, January 17, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The sixth Joy Awards ceremony in Riyadh begins at 7:00 p.m. Saudi time and will air live on MBC1, MBC Masr, MBC Iraq and MBC5, as well as on the Shahid platform.
The live programme includes the lavender carpet, the awards segment, artistic performances, and musical and singing acts.
Awards are decided through audience voting via the Joy Awards application, recognising works and personalities that made a strong public impact during 2025.
Six main award areas are listed for this edition: cinema, television drama series, music, directing, sports and influencers, with artistic and sports works and prominent figures competing across the categories.
The event is expected to draw Arab and international stars from the arts and sports sectors, alongside content creators, with local and international media in attendance.
The ceremony is organised by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) as part of Riyadh Season.
