Riyadh Medical Biotechnology Summit Opens With Focus on Research and Investment
RIYADH, September 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi National Guard Minister Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz opened the fourth Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit on Monday, bringing researchers, investors and policymakers together to discuss the sector’s development.
The September 14–16 event will examine how national strategies, regulation, research infrastructure and financing can support medical biotechnology. Its agenda also covers training and talent development, alongside the latest research and technologies.
More than 100 speakers are participating, including company executives, university presidents, experts and researchers, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Panel discussions, scientific sessions and specialized workshops will be held alongside meetings for investors and policymakers. The programme also includes a platform for signing agreements and memoranda of understanding.
An accompanying exhibition brings together government bodies, universities and organizations from healthcare, technology, industry and investment to present medical products, services and technologies.
The summit is being held under the patronage of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Riyadh Biocentral Foundation’s board, with the theme “Building the Foundations of Excellence in Medical Biotechnology”. Prince Abdullah is also a member of the foundation’s board.
The organizers are the Ministry of National Guard, represented by Health Affairs, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences and King Abdullah International Medical Research Center. The Ministry of Investment is a partner, while the Future Investment Initiative Institute is the strategic partner.
