RIYADH, June 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Riyadh Art has installed two new permanent public artworks in the Saudi capital, expanding its citywide collection as part of efforts to integrate art into public spaces.

The two works are “Running Beyond” by Italian artist Angelo Bonello and “Family Tree” by Indian artist Subodh Gupta, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

“Running Beyond” has been installed on the pedestrian bridge at the intersection of King Abdulaziz Road and Hisham bin Abdulmalik Street, while “Family Tree” has been placed in the King Abdullah Financial District.

Riyadh Art, launched in 2019 under the supervision of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, aims to place artworks in squares, transit points and public destinations across the city.

The program’s permanent collection now includes 75 artworks across Riyadh, with additional installations planned during 2026.

The collection includes works by international artists from 47 countries alongside Saudi artists, in what SPA described as one of the world’s largest public art initiatives.

Bader Al-Shunaifi, a senior director at Riyadh Art, said public art has the ability to reach people in their daily movement through the city and gradually become part of public life.
