Residents of Taif prepare homes and streets ahead of Ramadan

Riyadh, February 9, 2026 (SABN) – Residents of Taif have begun early preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, maintaining customs that combine religious observance with long-standing social traditions.

Families are arranging homes and stocking food supplies ahead of gatherings and communal meals associated with the month.

Neighbourhoods are being decorated with lanterns, crescent motifs and illuminated stars. Local historian Dhaifallah Al-Radwani said many of the preparations are led by women and children and include traditional textiles, incense burners and henna.

He said the practices help pass cultural traditions to younger generations and maintain community ties.
