Red Sea International Film Festival Announces Partnership With Annecy Festival Organizer

Jeddah, December 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Red Sea International Film Festival has announced a three-year strategic partnership with CITIA, the organizing body of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, aimed at supporting the development of the animation sector in Saudi Arabia and strengthening its international profile.
The partnership was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed in Jeddah by Red Sea Film Foundation Chief Executive Officer Faisal Baltyuor and CITIA Chief Executive Officer Mickaël Marin.
According to the announcement, the collaboration will introduce a series of initiatives beginning in 2026. These include programs focused on developing Saudi animation talent, expanding international cooperation through professional networking, and facilitating knowledge exchange with global industry stakeholders.
The agreement also предусматри establishes an annual program at Culture Square in Historic Jeddah, featuring works from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, alongside workshops and family-oriented events. In addition, training workshops and professional exchange programs will be implemented in collaboration with CITIA’s international network.
The partnership aligns with ongoing efforts to support creative industries in the Kingdom and promote Saudi talent on global platforms.
