Red Sea International Film Festival Announces Lineup for 5th Edition, Including 108 Films

JEDDAH, November 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Red Sea International Film Festival unveiled key details of its fifth edition during a press conference held yesterday, including the official feature film selection competing for the Yusr Awards. The festival will run from December 4 to 13 in Jeddah.


Faisal Baltyuor, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, said the 2025 lineup includes 108 films, the majority of which will be world premieres. He noted that 35% of the selected films are Saudi productions, while the remainder represent more than 60 countries.


Baltyuor added that this year’s edition features an expanded schedule of market and industry programs, reflecting the festival’s growing role in the global film ecosystem.


Seven films supported by the Red Sea Film Foundation’s ecosystem are included in the official selection, such as:


Hijra; A Sad and Beautiful World – Saudi Arabia’s 2025 Academy Award submission


➡️Sink


➡️Roqia


➡️The Kenyan documentary Truck Mama


Other highlights include the world premiere of Barni; the MENA premiere of Two Seasons, Two Strangers, winner of the Locarno Golden Leopard; and Lost Land, the first-ever Rohingya-language drama.
