Qatar’s Emir receives call from Trump on regional escalation, QNA report

Riyadh, March 1, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call today from U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss regional security developments and the escalation in the Middle East, Qatar News Agency reported.

Trump expressed solidarity with Qatar following what QNA described as Iranian aggression against the country and several states in the region.

Sheikh Tamim thanked Trump for U.S. support and stressed the importance of containing the escalation through diplomatic channels and peaceful means to protect regional security and stability, the report said.
