AlUla, Saudi Arabia, February 11, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Prince of Wales, Prince William, spent his final day in Saudi Arabia observing conservation initiatives and cultural projects in the desert kingdom.
During the visit, William toured the Sharaan Nature Reserve, where he met rangers involved in protecting native species, supporting reintroduction programs for gazelles, Arabian oryx, and the critically endangered Arabian leopard, and restoring acacia woodlands. He also learned about ongoing tree-planting initiatives and the geology of the reserve’s fragile ecosystem.
In AlUla Old Town, the Prince was shown the newly named Prince of Wales House, a cultural space highlighting collaborations between Saudi Arabia and the U.K. on creativity and heritage regeneration. He participated in activities with local youth related to the building’s renovation.
The visit included meetings with artists working with the British Council and the Royal Commission for AlUla, emphasizing cultural education and the Old Town’s role in AlUla’s ongoing regeneration projects.
