RIYADH, October 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - A young peregrine falcon captured in Al-Dabdaba, Hafar Al-Batin, sold for SAR106,000 on Monday during the third night of the National Center for Falcons Auction 2026.

Four falcon trappers caught the bird. Bidding opened at SAR60,000 before reaching the final sale price of SAR106,000.

The National Center for Falcons Auction 2026 accepts only young migratory peregrine falcons caught in the wild within Saudi Arabia. Mature peregrine falcons and saker falcons are excluded under criteria the National Center for Falcons said were intended to support sustainability and preserve their bloodlines.

The National Center for Falcons Auction 2026 runs through November 30. Sessions are broadcast on television and social media, allowing falconers and enthusiasts to follow the bidding.

Regional teams from the National Center for Falcons receive falcon trappers during the capture season. The National Center for Falcons covers their accommodation and transportation to the auction venue, where the birds are presented for live competitive bidding.
