Macron orders carrier Charles de Gaulle to redeploy to Mediterranean

Riyadh, March 3, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday he had ordered the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to move from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, escorted by its air wing and frigates.

In a pre-recorded television address, Macron said Dassault Rafale fighter jets, air-defence systems and airborne radar systems had been deployed in the past few hours in the Middle East.
