Kuwait cancels Taraweeh prayers until further notice after Iran strikes

Riyadh, February 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Kuwait has cancelled Taraweeh prayers until further notice following Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Saturday.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Islamic Affairs said Taraweeh prayers were cancelled in all mosques, with worship limited to the five daily prayers until further notice “in light of the latest developments in the country.”
In the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, worshippers gathered in mosques on Saturday night.
Footage carried by national broadcaster Emarat TV showed hundreds of worshippers at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for the nightly prayers, while social media videos showed Taraweeh prayers in mosques across Jordan.
