Kings League MENA Opens First Full Season in Riyadh With 10 Teams
RIYADH, September 18, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Kings League MENA began its first full league season in Riyadh on Friday, bringing together 10 teams from six Arab countries for a competition running through October 30, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The matches are being held at the Cool Arena in Boulevard City. The league has expanded from the eight teams that competed in the inaugural Kings Cup MENA in 2025.
Saudi Arabia is represented by defending regional champion DR7, RA2 FC and Rising Peaks. The lineup also includes Qatar’s ABO FC, Kuwait’s FWZ, Egypt’s Turbo, Morocco’s Ultra Chmicha and Bakhira FC, and Jordan’s 3BS and Red Zone.
Opening-round fixtures feature Ultra Chmicha against Turbo, Rising Peaks against ABO FC and an all-Jordanian match between 3BS and Red Zone.
RA2 FC will then face Bakhira FC before the round ends with a rematch of the 2025 Kings Cup MENA final between DR7 and FWZ.
All 10 teams will play each other once across nine league rounds. The team finishing first will qualify directly for the semi-finals.
The remaining three semi-final places will be decided through playoff matches featuring the second-placed team against seventh, third against sixth and fourth against fifth.
Both semi-finals and the final will take place at the Cool Arena on October 30.
Kings League MENA Managing Director Wael Al-Fayez said the competition combines football with digital culture and the participation of regional streamers and content creators.
