RIYADH, March 31, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – King Charles and Queen Camilla will undertake a state visit to the United States in late April, Buckingham Palace said on Tuesday, marking Charles’s first U.S. state visit as monarch.
The palace said the trip would take place on the advice of the British government and at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump. It said the programme would mark the 250th anniversary of American independence and celebrate the historic and modern ties between the two countries.
The visit will go ahead despite calls from some British politicians for it to be delayed or cancelled over the Iran war and tensions between Washington and London over the conflict.
After the U.S. trip, Charles will travel to Bermuda for his first visit as monarch to a British Overseas Territory.
