JEDDAH, February 3, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – King Abdulaziz International Airport recorded 5.45 million passengers in January, up 7.3% from the same month in 2025, as the airport posted what it described as record operational results since the start of 2026.

The airport handled 29,200 flights during the month, an 11% increase year-on-year, while total baggage reached 6.6 million items, up 8% compared with January last year.

The airport registered its highest operational week on record between January 11 and January 17, receiving 1.28 million passengers over the seven-day period.

It also recorded its highest single-day passenger volume on January 17, when 195,300 travellers passed through the airport and 1,089 flights operated that day.

Jeddah Airports Company, which has operated the airport since 2022, linked the results to efforts to enhance the travel experience, expand travel options and support national aviation targets.
