RIYADH, March 8, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — At least four people were killed and ten others wounded after an Israeli strike hit an apartment in the Ramada hotel building in central Beirut, Reuters reported, citing Lebanon’s health ministry.

The strike targeted the heart of central Beirut, an area not typically hit in recent Israeli operations, which have largely focused on Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital.

Shortly after the attack, the Israel Defense Forces said it had carried out what it described as a “precise strike” targeting key commanders from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force operating in Beirut.

The Israeli military said steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance.
