RIYADH, April 2, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Thursday it had attacked an Amazon cloud computing centre in Bahrain in retaliation for what it described as recent assassinations.
In a statement, the IRGC said the strike marked what it called a first action against what it described as spy and terrorist technology companies, but it did not provide evidence for the claim.
The statement came a day after senior Iranian official Kamal Kharazi was seriously injured and his wife was killed in an attack in Tehran, according to reports from Iranian and international media.
Earlier this week, the IRGC warned that if such assassinations continued, it would target American technology and artificial intelligence companies that it accused of helping track and direct operations against Iranian figures.
Companies named in those threats included Apple, Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, HP, Intel, Tesla, Boeing and JPMorgan, according to reports on the warning.
