Iran says Israeli strikes hit steel factories, power plant and nuclear sites

PARIS, March 27, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that Israeli strikes had hit two of the country’s largest steel factories, a power plant and nuclear sites, among other infrastructure targeted earlier in the day.

In a post on X, Araghchi said Israel claimed it had acted in coordination with the United States and said the attack contradicted President Donald Trump’s extended deadline for diplomacy.

“Israel claims it acted in coordination with the U.S. Attack contradicts POTUS extended deadline for diplomacy. Iran will exact HEAVY price for Israeli crimes,” he wrote.

The U.S. and Israel launched multiple attacks on industrial and nuclear sites in Iran hours after Israel threatened to escalate and expand its campaign against Tehran.

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said the strikes posed no risk of contamination, according to state media.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also warned of retaliatory operations and urged workers at industrial companies in the region with U.S. shareholders to leave their workplaces immediately.
