Iran military spokesman warns tourist sites and recreational areas may not be safe for Tehran’s enemies

PARIS, March 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Iran’s top military spokesman said on Friday that parks, recreational areas and tourist destinations around the world would no longer be safe for Tehran’s enemies, issuing the warning as American and Israeli airstrikes on Iran continued.

The statement by Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi renewed concern that Iran could turn to militant attacks beyond the Middle East as the conflict escalates, according to concerns raised by analysts.

“From now on, based on the information we have about you, even parks, recreational areas and tourist destinations anywhere in the world will no longer be safe for you,” Shekarchi said in remarks published online by Iranian state television.

The warning came as Iran remained under sustained U.S. and Israeli strikes.
