TEHRAN, June 16 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Iran’s military headquarters warned Israel on Tuesday to end its campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, CNN reported.

The warning was published by the semi-official Fars News Agency and attributed to Iran’s top joint military command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.

The statement warned that Israel should expect a response from Iran’s armed forces if it does not end what Tehran described as aggression in southern Lebanon.

Iran and Pakistan have both stated that the agreement between Iran and the United States requires Israel to cease hostilities.

U.S. President Donald Trump had publicly called on Israel to stop its attacks in Lebanon hours before the agreement was announced.

A senior U.S. official has said the agreement does not require Israel to withdraw from Lebanon.

Israel has refused to end its military campaign against Hezbollah.
