Makkah, January 16, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – More than 300,000 Umrah performers and visitors receive daily support through an integrated services network at the Grand Mosque that brings together government entities, the non-profit sector and volunteers, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The direct services include guidance and orientation, assistance for the elderly and persons with disabilities, electric carts and wheelchairs, translation and multilingual communication, and around-the-clock health and emergency medical coverage.
Field medical teams from the Makkah Health Cluster operate through fixed health centers and emergency points inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards, coordinating with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to provide first aid and rapid intervention in urgent cases.
Thousands of male and female volunteers registered on national platforms support reception and guidance, crowd management, disability services and visitor communication in multiple languages.
The system is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen humanitarian services at the Grand Mosque and deliver a safe and seamless experience for Umrah performers and visitors, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 service-quality objectives.
