Fire Erupts at Fuel Tanks in Oman’s Port of Salalah After Iranian Attack

Muscat, March 12, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Fire crews were working Wednesday to contain a blaze at fuel storage tanks in the Port of Salalah, according to the Oman News Agency.
The fire broke out following what authorities described as an Iranian attack targeting the port and nearby fuel facilities, the report said.
In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait condemned the strike, describing the targeting of economic infrastructure as a dangerous escalation that threatens global trade.
The Port of Salalah is one of the region’s major logistics and shipping hubs along key international maritime routes.
