MAKKAH, June 15 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - The final stages of producing the new Kaaba Kiswa have been completed at the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Kiswa in Makkah.

The production process combines advanced technology with skilled craftsmanship in preparing the covering of the Kaaba.

Salah Al-Sulami, head of the department for assembling and sewing the Kaaba Kiswa, said the process begins with preparing a white cotton inner lining for all four sides of the Kaaba.

The lining is then joined to embroidered silk panels featuring Islamic inscriptions and motifs.

Each silk panel measures about 14 meters by one meter and is assembled into the full Kiswa using advanced sewing systems.

The assembly stage uses one of the largest sewing machines employed in producing the Kaaba Kiswa, described as among the longest of its kind in the world.

The machine features laser-based control systems that guide the needle and thread paths during stitching, ensuring accuracy and alignment.

The process allows the Kiswa’s components to be assembled with precision and consistency.
