Falcon Sells for AED1.5 Million, Setting ADIHEX 2026 Auction Record
ABU DHABI, August 30 — A falcon chick bred in the United States sold for AED1.5 million at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026, the highest price paid for a falcon at this edition’s auctions, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The sale took place on Saturday during the fifth auction round. This year’s exhibition features 55 local and international falcon breeding farms.
Bred by the Mark Moglich farm in the United States, the chick was identified as an “Ultra White Pure Gyr Garmousha.” It weighs 1,000 grams and has pure white plumage.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, linked the auction result to efforts to preserve Emirati falconry heritage for future generations. He said the sale demonstrated the international standing of the exhibition’s auctions and Abu Dhabi’s role in falconry.
