RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, June 24 — The countdown to the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris has begun, with the tournament scheduled to take place from July 6 to August 23.

The 2026 edition will mark the first time the event is hosted outside Saudi Arabia.

The tournament will feature Saudi clubs competing on one of the largest international esports stages, reflecting the event’s growing global reach.

Faisal bin Homran, Chief Product Officer at the Esports Foundation, said relocating the Esports World Cup 2026 to Paris reflects Saudi Arabia’s position as a leader in developing the global gaming and esports sector.

He said the move represents the continuation of a tournament that began in Riyadh, with the aim of establishing it as a global event rotating among major capitals.

Bin Homran said Riyadh remains the tournament’s home and future destination.

He also said Saudi fans will remain a key factor in the tournament’s success wherever it is held, citing the Saudi community’s passion for esports since the championship’s launch.

Preparations for the Paris edition are progressing according to schedule in cooperation with local and international partners, he said.

The goal is to deliver an edition that matches the tournament’s standing and meets the expectations of players, clubs and fans.
