Archie Owen Takes First Formula 4 Win at Jeddah Season Opener

JEDDAH, Oct 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Welsh driver Archie Owen claimed the first Formula 4 victory of his career at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, winning the opening race of the 2026 Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship in only his second appearance in the category.
Owen, racing for 7.23 Racing, led the field home ahead of Britain’s Harrison Mackie of iCONNA, who finished 4.232 seconds behind.
Austria’s Marlon Bayer, representing Wrap & Fly, completed the podium in third, 4.521 seconds off the winner.
The FIA-certified championship opened its first round on Friday under the sporting supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, with ALTAWKILAT Motorsport organizing the event.
Mansour Almokbel, acting chief executive of SAMF and chief executive of the Saudi Motorsport Company, presented the trophies after the race.
Friday’s program also included free practice and qualifying, alongside the Motor Mania JDM Cup.
The opening round concludes on Saturday, with second free practice scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and qualifying at 4:40 p.m.
The Motor Mania GT exhibition race is set for 7:00 p.m., followed by the Formula 4 finale at 8:45 p.m. and the podium ceremony at 9:25 p.m.
