London, September 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The DP World Tour on Thursday announced its 2026 global schedule, featuring 42 Race to Dubai tournaments across 25 countries with a record prize fund of $157.5 million (excluding Major Championships)

The season will follow a three-phase structure, beginning with five “Global Swings,” followed by the “Back 9,” and culminating with the DP World Tour Play-Offs in November 2026.

The schedule introduces two new highlights: the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, set for May 7–10 at Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona, and a new venue for the Amgen Irish Open, which will be staged at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg from September 10–13.

Spain’s addition follows confirmation that the 2031 Ryder Cup will be hosted at Camiral, making Spain the first continental European country to hold the biennial competition twice. El Prat will host a DP World Tour event for the first time since the 2015 Open de España.

Other key tournaments include the Genesis Scottish Open (July 9–12) at the Renaissance Club, co-sanctioned with the PGA TOUR, and the five Rolex Series events: the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (January 22–25), BMW PGA Championship (September 17–20), and the two Play-Off events in Abu Dhabi (November 5–8) and Dubai (November 12–15). The Dubai Invitational (January 15–18) also returns to the calendar.

Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the DP World Tour, said the schedule “showcases our global talent in global destinations” and provides a compelling narrative through the Race to Dubai.

The tour also announced membership structure changes effective from 2026:

  • The Race to Dubai cut-off for retaining a full card will be reduced from the top 110 to the top 100.

  • Players ranked 101–110 will receive conditional Category 18 status, initially below Qualifying School graduates.

  • The number of cards available through the HotelPlanner Tour will fall from 20 to 15.

  • The top 15 (and ties) will graduate from Qualifying School, down from 20.

  • Players ranked 16–20 on the Road to Mallorca will enter Category 19, below Race to Dubai positions 111–125.

The DP World Tour said the changes aim to ensure greater schedule certainty and balanced opportunities for all cardholders across its global pathways.
