Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club Announces 37-Event Calendar Through December

ABU DHABI, August 18 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club will stage 37 races, championships and community activities across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi between September 5 and December 27, the club announced.
The four-month calendar comprises 14 traditional races, 13 modern marine sports championships and events, and 10 community activities. Competitions and other activities will be held in Abu Dhabi, the Breakwater, Al Sila and Dalma Island.
Traditional dhow sailing and bawanish races form part of the heritage programme, which also includes the Dalma Historical Festival, Al Yasat Marine Festival and Al Sila Marine Festival.
Activities for People of Determination and junior participants will feature alongside environmental beach-cleaning initiatives. The calendar also includes fishing competitions, rowing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing and motosurf events.
Among the major December competitions are the Abu Dhabi Grand Kingfish Fishing Championship, the UAE International Aquabike Championship and the UAE Flyboard Championship.
The calendar will conclude with the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship on December 26 and 27.
