Taif, September 5, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Crown Prince Camel Festival 2025 set a new record on its opening day, with more than 100,000 camels participating in the seventh edition of the event in Taif.

The milestone surpasses the combined total of 98,920 camels recorded across all previous editions since the festival’s launch in 2018. The event continues its trajectory of breaking records, following its 2024 recognition by Guinness World Records for the largest number of camels in a race, when 21,637 camels competed.

Held in 2024, the “Year of the Camel,” the festival underscored the animal’s cultural importance in the Arabian Peninsula. It has since earned multiple accolades, including four Guinness World Records and the Makkah Economic Excellence Award for 2023.

The honors highlight the festival’s role in stimulating economic and cultural activity and reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving its heritage and identity.
