Cardi B Makes Saudi Debut at MDLBeast Soundstorm in Custom Gaurav Gupta Couture

RIYADH, December 16 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Grammy-winning artist Cardi B made her debut performance in Saudi Arabia at MDLBeast Soundstorm 2025, wearing a custom Gaurav Gupta Couture ensemble designed specifically for the occasion.
Cardi B closed the festival in the early hours of Sunday with an 80-minute set, performing tracks from her catalogue and her latest album, Am I the Drama? Her appearance followed several days in the Kingdom, during which she shared content on social media and expressed enthusiasm about her visit.
The custom look combined Indian craft elements with a silhouette adapted for the cultural context of the event. The neon pink stretch-jersey bodysuit featured cascading ghungroos, crystal embellishments, a sculpted hood, and an integrated boot design. A voluminous cape secured with the designer’s signature winged panther brooch completed the outfit.
Designer Gaurav Gupta said the concept was developed in collaboration with Cardi B’s stylist, Kollin Carter, with the aim of creating a look that was both modest and bold. He also noted the incorporation of sari-inspired draping and traditional craftsmanship elements.
The styling and placement were handled by Hema Bose of Maison Bose, who said last-minute adjustments were made to ensure freedom of movement during the performance.
On stage, Cardi B greeted the audience in Arabic and thanked attendees for their welcome, later sharing positive remarks about her experience in Saudi Arabia through social media during her stay in Riyadh.
