Camel Market Value Nears SAR250 Million in Final Rounds of Crown Prince Camel Festival

Taif, September 12, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The market value of camels competing in the final rounds of the 2025 Crown Prince Camel Festival has approached SAR250 million, according to organizers.
The seventh edition of the festival, organized by Saudi Camel Sports, began on September 2 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The competition featured 249 rounds with prize money exceeding SAR50 million.
The final four rounds, covering a distance of 24 kilometers, are scheduled to take place today. Marwan Aljohani, Competition and Registry Manager at Saudi Camel Sports, said the camels competing in the finals are considered the elite of the Kingdom, the Gulf region, and the Arab world.
He noted that individual camels are valued between SAR2 million and SAR10 million, with many already holding significant championship titles and trophies from past events.
