Board of Grievances opens registration for inaugural Judicial Intelligence Hackathon

RIYADH, Dec. 28 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Board of Grievances has opened registration for its inaugural Judicial Intelligence Hackathon, an initiative aimed at developing innovative solutions to enhance judicial efficiency, streamline workflows and improve judicial outcomes through modern technology.

Registration will run from December 28, 2025, to January 9, 2026. The hackathon is open to specialists, experts and university students, who are required to participate in teams of three to five members led by a Saudi national or a faculty member aged 18 or older.

All team members must register through the board’s digital portal and submit a preliminary proposal that is legally and practically feasible. Proposals must make use of modern technology to ensure relevance to the board’s work and demonstrate potential for long-term impact.

The hackathon will include two tracks. The first focuses on the use of artificial intelligence and innovative solutions to reduce procedural errors in digital court sessions and improve lawsuit filing processes. The second track aims to simplify document-related procedures and enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities and older people.

Selected teams will be announced on January 23, 2026, with remote discussion sessions scheduled to take place on January 28.

The initiative reflects the Board of Grievances’ efforts to strengthen court performance and streamline administrative and judicial procedures.
