MANAMA, July 29 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Bahrain expressed support for measures taken by Saudi Arabia in response to repeated attacks launched from Iraqi territory against the Kingdom’s oil and critical facilities.
Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry said the attacks were carried out by groups it described as Iran-backed terrorist militias.
The ministry also backed Saudi Arabia’s response against specific targets in Iraq linked to the attacks. The action was coordinated with U.S. Central Command.
Bahrain reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to protect its security, sovereignty and territory. It said the response constituted legitimate self-defence following efforts to pursue peaceful solutions and reduce regional tensions.
