MANAMA, July 19, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Bahrain’s air defence systems intercepted and destroyed multiple Iranian aerial attacks on Sunday, the Bahrain Defence Force said, as authorities activated warning sirens for the seventh time in less than 48 hours.
The force’s General Command said its air defence systems had “repelled, intercepted, and destroyed a number of treacherous Iranian aerial attacks,” adding that all weapons and units remained at the highest level of readiness.
Authorities urged residents to avoid approaching unidentified or suspicious objects believed to be remnants of the attacks and to report them immediately.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry instructed the public to remain calm and seek shelter in the nearest safe location after sirens sounded on Sunday morning.
Bahrain, which hosts US military facilities, has repeatedly been targeted by Iranian attacks during the regional conflict.
